Student Voice Council
The Tacoma Community College Student Voice Council (SVC) at Washington Corrections Center for Women was established in 2017. Their mission is to advocate, empower, and unite the students of Tacoma Community College at Washington Correction Center for Women to grow toward positive changes that lead to a successful future. SVC provides constructive feedback on programing and class development. They also act as a liaison between students and the education department and develop initiatives that foster success and inclusion in all education programing and advocate on behalf of the student population. SVC is nationally recognized and collaborated with the Vera Institute of Justice. They continue to operate within the Washington Corrections Center for Women.
