The concept is amazing. People helping others who they have have never met and supporting their educational goals with a gift."

More than 160 TCC Foundation Scholarship students met the donors of their scholarships on Wednesday at the annual TCC Foundation Scholarship and Recipient Luncheon. After a two-year hiatus, it was a pleasure to bring back this event, and connect students with the donors who fund their scholarship programs.

“It is great to see our friends who are here to celebrate students and donors,” said TCC Foundation Board President Brandon Ervin. “The concept is amazing. People helping others who they have never met and supporting their educational goals with a gift. With our student recipients, they accept the responsibility to work hard and achieve their goals … We honor all of you today.”

The TCC Foundation and its generous donors provide scholarships, supports the student emergency fund and the Max and Margi Harned Titan Food Pantry. Read the list of scholarship recipients and their donors here.

“On behalf of TCC students, thank you for making this possible,” said TCC student Josh Rhynes, who is studying pre-med and biology, and is a student government Vice President of Legislation. “This luncheon is so important to thank the scholarship donors, who help us succeed.”
