Congratulations Class of 2021
Carter Archuleta (he/him)
Associate of Science Degree with Astronomy and Physics Specialization, Running Start Program
"It's so relieving to finish. This year especially feels like it's been so much longer than it should be."
Sophia Gilven (she/her)
Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Information Management
"At the beginning of every quarter, something happened. My dad had a heart attack the month before I started my program, I had a baby when I started, I had him [the baby she is holding] a month ago, and so many other things with family members — it really felt like I was being tested every single quarter. But I knew I was on the right path. Now, for the first time, I really feel accomplished in life."
Thi Huynh (she/her)
Associate in Applied Science in Human Services
"I feel so proud of my achievement. I am an immigrant student — I moved from Vietnam — so it has even more meaning for me."
Hannah Shea (she/her)
Associate of Arts with Psychology Specialization
"I'm glad I started at TCC. Now I'm going to transfer to UW to go to law school. But it was a good transition, a good stepping stone to university."
Stephanie Tisby (she/her)
Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Information Management
"I did it! I did it! I did it! It has been such a wonderful experience. I really appreciate the friendships and organizations I've been a part of."
Emma Young (she/her)
Associate of Arts, Running Start Program
"I'm really grateful to be graduating from high school with my degree. And, especially during the pandemic, there were so many resources available to help me succeed."
Anurita Bhatti (she/her)
Associate in Pre-Nursing, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, High School Diploma
"I feel so blessed to be a part of this community. It really feels like I've been turned from a stone to a diamond, from shy to confident. And everybody played a part in bringing that out of me."
Alex Harris (he/him)
High School Diploma, Adult Basic Education Program
"For those entering school right now, try your best and always — if you can — try to keep your sanity."
Laughing Eyes (he/him)
Associate of Arts with Excercise Science Concentration
"Honestly, it doesn't feel real. It feels like I've been climbing up hill for three years and now I have the relief of coming down. It's unexplainable how important this moment is. I went through every cycle of hell to get here."
Toni Tardif (she/her)
Associate in Applied Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
"Everyone in my program went through clinicals during a pandemic. And if we can do that, we can do anything."
Ivy Tran (she/her)
Associate in Business, Running Start Program
"I'm really glad I was involved with Phi Theta Kappa and student government. I was able to have a lot more experiences and opportunities on campus. I would encourage other students to get involved too."
Solomon McGinnis (he/him)
Associate of Arts, General Education
Isaiah Jackson (he/him)
Associate of Arts, General Education
Xavier Lovelace (he/him)
Associate of Arts, Behavioral Science
Christian Cherry (he/him)

Claire Bramli (she/her)

"It's incredible to finish the nursing program with high honors. The thing that I'm most proud of is that it felt at times that I was going to drown, but I just kept swimming. And we made it through."
Bekah Hawthorne (she/her)
Associate of Arts with Psychology Specialization
"I have seven kids and school is hard even for those without kids. But here I am, still graduating with honors. It feels awesome."
Andrea Plitkins (she/her) & Katelyn Huynh (she/her)
Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Management with Project Management Specialization
"The program is really what helped me achieve. Our diversity and what we learned from each other — we became a family." - Andrea
"Having this accomplishment, I can show my children that anything is possible. You can achieve everything you strive to do." - Katelyn
Marcus Taylor (he/him)
Bachelor of Applied Science in Community Health
"I'm proud because I'm the first out of eight kids to ever graduate college."
Brittany Werle (she/her) & Erica Lathan (she/her)
Associate in Nursing
"It's surreal for real. I've been working on my degree since I was 18. And now, 12 years later, I'm graduating and starting my dream job at Tacoma General." - Brittany
"It's been such a long journey. And to finish during the pandemic with three kids at home and the challenges of home learning — I couldn't have done it without the support of my family and friends. And the nursing staff is a-freaking-mazing." - Erica
