About

Computer Science focuses on managing and operating complex computer systems. Computer science skills are needed in all areas of the economy: retailing, banking, manufacturing, agriculture, service, education, and government, as well as computer manufacturing and software development. This program provides students with the first two years of a four-year computer science degree.

The Careers

Computer Scientist

Conduct research into fundamental computer and information science as theorists, designers, or inventors. Develop solutions to problems in the field of computer hardware and software.

Software Developer

Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

Electrical Engineer

Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

Computer Systems Analyst

Analyze science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to develop and implement solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns.
