New Chances
At TCC, we welcome students from all walks of life, including those who have been involved with the criminal justice system. Our New Chances program provides personalized support for students in Pierce County to pursue their education after release from incarceration. We know that education is an important stepping stone to a better life. We also know how challenging it can be to attend school while working and re-entering the community. We are here to help.
New Chances provides assistance with:
- Enrollment at TCC
- Choosing classes and a career path
- Financial aid
- Referrals to community resources that assist with housing, offer counseling and support services
Note: For immediate information on community resources, call 211 by dialing 2-1-1 or 877-211-9274.
"School gave me something to be proud of and I began reinventing myself. Now that I was thinking clearly, I started to have goals and dreams. I did not know what I wanted to be, but I knew what I did NOT want to be."”
