Welcome to the TCC Government Relations Page

Thank you for a successful 2024 Legislative Session

Hello! Thanks for visiting our website.

We work to build partnerships with our state, city and county elected officials to support our mission to “create meaningful learning, advance equity, and strengthen student and community success.”

You're invited!

Please join us on Saturday, June 15th to celebrate our students at TCC’s 58th annual Commencement Ceremony. We know you will be inspired and energized to see students’ hard work rewarded as they receive their degrees, certificates, or diplomas. It’s by far our favorite day of the year, and we believe you will be inspired by the joy of the students and their proud families and friends.

We host two Commencement ceremonies: One at 10am; and the other at 2pm. Both are held at our Health and Wellness Center, Building 20, on our Tacoma campus. Visit our Commencement website for details about each ceremony.

If you are interested, please contact Tamyra Howser at thowser@tacomacc.edu, and we will reserve a seat. We hope to see you there!

Thank you for your support!

In the 2023 session, the Legislature approved the funding for our  Center of Innovative Learning and Engagement (now under construction), full funding for cost-of-living-adjustments (saving TCC $1.3 million and the entire system $35 million),  and established programs to help remove barriers for students. And the recent passage of SB 5194 supports our work with TCC becoming an anti-racist institution.
