The TRA Medical Imaging Foundation, which has supported several TCC health careers students in imaging fields, has awarded a total of $30,000 to three TCC students who are in their first year of the Radiologic Technology program. The scholarships will support students Leilani, Shawn, and Eris, members of the Class of 2025 spring cohort. Read their stories here. The award brings the total number of TCC Radiological Science students supported by the TRA Medical Foundation in 2024 up to 8.

The TRA Medical Imaging Foundation's Dr. William B. Jackson scholarship, which provides substantial career training support for students in TCC's Radiologic Technology program, is awarded based on career aspirations and financial need. In addition to financial support, the program connects students with experienced health care professionals, who serve as mentors throughout the students’ educational journeys.

According a press release from the TRA Medical Foundation, “our overarching goal is to broaden educational offerings and opportunities in CT, MRI, and Mammography. By doing so, we aim to generate employment, address workforce shortages, and enhance the quality of healthcare services in our community.”

TCC deeply appreciates the TRA Medical Foundation's continued support of our students and graduates. Interested in studying radiological science? Learn about TCC’s program here.
