Student Interns Present Urban Forestry Symposium Online Sept. 5

TCC students Nelson, Spencer, and Blakely spent the summer as interns in the WSU/TCC Urban Forestry Program, and they will present their findings at an online symposium 12 - 2 p.m. Sept. 5. The partnership also includes Highline, Whatcom, and Spokane Community Colleges, so interns from those colleges will also be presenting.

The partnership is funded by a $1.8 million Inflation Reduction Act grant from the USDA Forest Service and Community Forestry Program, administered by WSU's Puyallup Extension Campus. The grant will be administered over five years, so TCC students will have the opportunity to apply for paid internship positions next summer as well.
