TCC Welcomes Dr. Scott Meehan to Foundation Board

Tacoma Community College is excited to welcome Dr. Scott Meehan to the TCC Foundation Board. A specialist in pulmonology and critical care, Dr. Scott Meehan has been at MultiCare for 12 years. He is currently transitioning to an executive role within the organization, which will allow him to dedicate more time to volunteer roles.

A long-time resident of Tacoma and Gig Harbor, Dr. Meehan is focused on healing, mentoring, and fostering connections. As someone who comes from a family of educators, he values the community college’s role in creating opportunity for individuals and building strong communities.

“I am interested in supporting and promoting local, community-based higher education as an important mission to further opportunities of all people, especially those who are underrepresented and non-traditional,” Dr. Meehan wrote in his Foundation Board application.
