Entry Services Department Launches Spanish Language Podcast “Tu Guía al Éxito”

Led by Entry Navigator Christi Rose, TCC’s Entry Services Department is launching a Spanish-language podcast titled “Tu Guía al Éxito” (Your Guide to Success) that takes a whole-family approach to the college entry decision.

“Family is the central unit of life in the Latino community. If one person goes to college, the whole family goes to college,” explained Rose.

Produced in TCC’s Building 16 Studio, the podcast includes 6 episodes, two of which have been posted. Each episode is available in Spanish and in English. The first episode, which features TCC faculty members Sergio Hernandez, Ivan Ramirez Carrascal, and Dr. Tomas Ramos, is focused on faculty tips for college success.

The podcast’s goal is to raise awareness of the value of higher education in the Latino community. Rose wants to give families an idea of what they can expect, and how they can support students undertaking the college journey. She also wants everyone to know that career options exist for undocumented citizens, and that college is for everyone.
