Jimenez was selected from a pool of 845 nominees from 328 institutions, and is one of three Truman Scholars from the University of Washington.
According to a press release sent out yesterday by the Harry S. “I’m honored to represent Washington as a Truman Scholar, and specifically Tacoma, and the TCC community,” Jimenez said. “Communities that have invested and poured themselves into me both as a student, and now as a staff member.”
The 2021 Truman Scholars join a group that has grown to 3,384 awardees since the scholarship was first awarded in 1977. The group includes members of Congress, members of the Supreme Court, and national policy advisors. Congratulations to Jimenez on this incredible achievement.
