Educational Talent Search/TRIO

The Educational Talent Search (ETS) program is made possible by the U.S. Department of Education.

“Educational Talent Search is committed to providing students the support and encouragement necessary to complete their secondary education and enroll in a postsecondary institution. Qualifying participants will receive academic, career, and college advising services, financial literacy resources, and one-on-one assistance when necessary. Our goal is that ETS students pursue an academic/career field of their choice at the institution of their choice.”

TCC’s ETS program (Award #P044A210444 – funded through August 31st, 2026) contributes to the college’s commitment to inspire equity among our pre-college community as we celebrate their success & contribution to our community.

Students must be enrolled in Giaudrone and Gray Middle Schools and Foss and Oakland High Schools and be a US Citizen or a Permanent Resident Alien to apply.

The Educational Planner for the high schools is Brittany Spencer.

Applications can be found at Foss High School Room 304 or Oakland High School in the Main Office, or you can fill out the application below. Physical applications can be turned in at the above listed rooms at Foss and Oakland High Schools or at Tacoma Community College, Building 19-Room 49.
