About

Name: Sioeli Laupati “Joe”

OSE Position: Ambassador

What are you going to school for? I'm leaning towards majoring in sociology. I want to mentor, counsel, provide leadership, help and advocate for all people in need, for inmates in higher education, and to encourage students like myself to be change agents to help shape the future of our world.

What do you want to achieve as an Office of Student Engagement member this year?  To experience, build, and be a part of something special.

What made you decide to become a TCC student? To be a positive example of an alternative to all people struggling with gangs, drugs, poverty etc.

What advice do you have for new students starting at TCC this year? Don't be afraid to ask for help. Go the extra mile when helping your fellow students. Participate in clubs, and/or at least one sporting event, or student activities outside of class, and have fun and enjoy your college education and experience.

What is one thing you want TCC students to know about you that you feel will help them understand you better? You can always talk to me and I will listen, communicate, and help you as best as I can.

If you could be any character from a childhood fairytale, book, movie, or TV show; who would you be and why? The Rock. Being half Samoan, it's nice to have positive role models outside of my mom, dad, brothers, sister, and family I can look up to.

You’re at a make-your-own sundae bar. Which toppings do you choose? Banana, strawberries, nuts, caramel, and fudge.

If you could have any super power what would it be and why? Power to astral project. To reach a higher state of being or vibration to see the fourth and fifth dimension.
