TCC Foundation Scholarships

How Do Foundation Scholarships Work?

Each year, the TCC Foundation awards about 200 scholarships worth over $350,000 to help with the cost of tuition and fees for TCC students. A TCC Foundation scholarship is a gift, not a loan, so you won't have to worry about paying it back!

The Process

Scholarship applications for the 2024-2025 academic year are now closed. These scholarships will be awarded from May through August, 2024. If you have already applied, please check your TCC email inbox regularly throughout the summer to find out if you have been awarded.

It's simple! To apply, log in to AwardSpring using your TCC credentials, or create an account if you are a new student. You'll be asked to complete a one-page application and write two short essay responses.

Yes, students who are not currently enrolled can still apply for scholarships as long as they plan to start classes at TCC in the fall quarter. Students who are not currently enrolled will apply for scholarships using the prospective student link: tacomacc.awardspring.com/prospective/signin
Because TCC Foundation scholarships are included in your financial aid package, you cannot receive aid that exceeds your cost of attendance. This means your scholarship may need to be reduced or canceled, depending on the amount of other aid received.
The TCC Foundation scholarship committee consists of Foundation Board Members, TCC Staff and Faculty, and community members. These volunteers will score your essay responses, but will not see any of your private information.
Scholarship applications for the 2023-2024 academic year will be accepted starting January 1, 2023 and the deadline is March 31, 2023. All application materials must be submitted prior to the close date.
Yes. In fact, by completing the one-page General Application you’ll be applying to all scholarships in our system. Based on your General Application responses, you will be automatically entered into consideration for any scholarships you may be eligible for.
